'Trapped in a Dreadful Dream': Relatives of Missing Teens Await News After Alpine Blaze

The families of teenagers unaccounted for after a tragic fire at a venue in a Switzerland's ski resort are enduring an painful wait for confirmed information and pleading for information about their children online.

The fire ripped through the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the middle of the night of January 1st. Confirmed video depict the roof structure igniting as beverages with sparklers are raised in celebration.

Officials have stated that it could take considerable time to identify the those who perished of the disaster, which killed numerous partygoers and injured another over a hundred. The resident of Lutry near the city, explained to a local newspaper that she had gone back to Lausanne to see if he was in the medical facility, while his father did the same in the capital, but could not find him.

She continued that some of his companions had been found with injuries covering nearly half their bodies. "There are no words; they went through hell."

The Italy's foreign ministry has confirmed that six of its citizens have not been located.

Among them is Emanuele Galeppini, a 16-year-old sportsman, originally from Genoa but now living in Dubai.

The Italian Golf Federation has said that he is deceased, without mentioning the fire, paying tribute to a "young athlete who carried with him dedication and true sportsmanship."

His parent, reportedly stated that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around midnight. An official spokesperson has stated that a formal confirmation of his death is not yet.

Other Cases

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is also unaccounted for. His parent told reporters that he had been on vacation but had ventured out with friends and found himself at the bar.

"A close friend said they fled after the fire started and that he had his phone with him, but then at a certain point he lost sight of him," she recounted, adding he had been wearing a identifiable gold chain.

One of his educators said, "He was known for his good nature and positive demeanor, alongside great maturity. He would frequently ask if get me a coffee."

Alice Kallergis, who holds both Swiss and Greek citizenship but lives permanently in Switzerland, was also at the bar on that night, according to sources.

Her brother has shared an urgent request on social media, saying the relatives has had "no information" regarding the 15-year-old or the three friends she was with, who are also reported missing.
