Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Battles Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

Arsenal's ten-match winning run was ended by the Black Cats prior to the global break, but will the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, against AI, fans and a variety of special visitors.

In the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

Murs' new record, Knees Up, is out on Friday.

Football and Parenting Experiences

Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a accomplished artist and has been a star of multiple charity football games down the years - but he is not intending a serious return as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a charity match the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or son decides to play instead."

The singer and his wife Amelia Tank have two children, their daughter and their son, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their weekend soccer team," he added.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a period too.

"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I inherited it. He managed our side for two or three seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to be patient for their star's return from fitness issues but their attack is now stronger with Pedro and Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be fairly close, though. Burnley are well organised and their only home losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

It suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to choose Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two games - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.

West Ham's only away win this campaign came at Forest in August, when their boss Nuno was previously that team's manager.

Therefore, what on earth do I go with here - will it be West Ham continuing their streak under their manager, or the home side responding?

I will go with Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Aston Villa was a blip.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have picked up under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for relegation before the season began, but they have impressed a few people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four matches.

A family member advised me to get Bees forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

The forward will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had great fortune on the road this season, and Brighton are always strong at home. The visitors will try to hit them on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side carry much more of a threat.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

The singer's view: This could be a match where you think there is going to be a many scores but it in reality turns out to be quite tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.

Fulham have got plenty of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.

As for Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.

The away side's display in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We have not seen any other team disrupt the Gunners like that this term, and they were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing would be to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the close of last month.

However I am not going to choose that. Instead, I truly need to carry on going against the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they evidently enjoy to prove me wrong.

Looking at Fulham's home record, the sole team they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Marco Silva's side will be absolutely desperate for a good outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I know the visitors are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a bad run... but they have nonetheless been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard one to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in every tournament, but could they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
