Barcelona Ready for First Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish league over two years since relocating so building work could begin.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators can be present under the licence granted. When completed, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. The club said finished work included a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.

Stadium Testing

Barcelona held an open training session at the Camp Nou on 7 November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game facing Eintracht in December at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
